In-Office Teeth Whitening

The most recommended teeth whitening service is in- office teeth whitening. This procedure is commonly done in a dental office. Your dentist will apply a whitening gel to your teeth and it usually takes 90 minutes and most results are instant.

At-Home Teeth Whitening

  • Tray Whitening

  • If you prefer not to whiten your teeth within the office, we also recommend whitening your teeth at home. Your dentist would make you a custom tray and provide you with the gel that you could do right within your bathroom. Unlike over the counter whitening strips, the hydroxyradicals help whiten the teeth and it does it naturally that provides maximum comfort. Doing the teeth whitening at home usually takes 2 weeks, although you might notice a change within 3-5 days.

  • Paint-On Teeth Whiteners

  • The most common over the counter whitening option is paint-on teeth whiteners. They can be less expensive and less effective than doing it professionally. The paint-on whitener consists of a gel that is applied to the teeth using a small brush that’s attached to the bottle. The gel hardens by a film into your teeth and it dissolves within the mouth. But it’s most important to consult with a professional before any use of whitening.

  • Teeth-Whitening Strips

  • Teeth whitening strips are made up of thin, flexible plastic strips that contain the ingredient polyethylene and hydrogen peroxide on one side. They come with two types; one upper and one lower. They recommend you placing the stirps across your teeth and gently pressing down to ensure contact with your teeth. They recommend you wearing them for 30 minutes twice a day to ensure best results. Durations for each person is different.

  • Whitening Toothpaste and Mouthwash

  • The cheapest option to whiten the teeth is from toothpastes and mouthwashes. They have “whitening” abilities and they tend to work to remove surface stains that cause mild abrasives. Most products like these normally do not actually lighten the shade of the tooth, they just remove the abrasives within on their teeth. Most over the counter whitening toothpastes affect surface stains and will only lighten some of your teeth.
